Recently I had an opportunity to head up a unique project that was a mashup of social media, web design, a little bit of online marketing strategy, and a mascot that resembled half an eagle and half a lion. The Grand Rapids Griffins approached Blacktruck with the challenge of creating a method for the team to showcase home games on Facebook in a way that was interactive and engaging for fans.
Through some collaboration and planning, the end result was a custom Facebook tab that informs fans of upcoming games, promotions and a direct avenue to purchase tickets for a specific game.
In order to pull off the design theme we were after, James from James Fry Photography was called in to handle the photos of Griff. Aside from having to track down Griff during the off season, the photo shoot went excellent and working with James was a great experience. Seeing as though this was a fairly unique project from concept to creation, I figured why not share some behind the scenes shots from our day with Griff.
